The Right Way To Wear Polo Shirts

In the past there was always a certain amount of social stigma associated with shopping for big and tall men’s clothing. It was embarrassing for these shoppers because they felt others looked at them in a negative way.

The good news is that social stigma is pretty much a thing of the past. You see, things have changed with regard to clothing sizes, what was once considered a “normal” size often falls into the “big and tall” category. So these days it’s very common to see these sizes in regular stores, also the fashion industry and designers are working more and more in this size category. Here are some hints to help you look your best in big and tall men’s clothing.

First thing you’ll do is make phone calls to stores as opposed to driving everywhere to just stop in and find out – unless you like doing that. So it’s no problem, just call and speak to the clothing section, and ask if they carry the size you need. You’ll want to avoid unnecessary trips, so be sure to ask if they have your specific size sitting on the shelves. You don’t need to ask about individual items, you only need to make sure that your size is carried by that particular store. Doing this can save you quite a bit of time that would otherwise be spent wandering around in store after store only to find out that they do not have the size you need. You should also consider clothing cut with a lower waist. Pants cut with a higher waist don’t look good on most body shapes, which could be why they’re difficult to find these days. Try to choose pants that sit a bit lower down on the hips. These can help lengthen the look of your torso. If possible, try to look for pants that will sit a little below your waist line. There’s also the risk of giving yourself a ‘muffin top’ appearance if you get pants that are too low cut down your hips. The relative effect of polo t-shirts on your situation can be remarkable and cause issues of all kinds.

It’s always a good idea to inspect the “On Sale” racks when you first go into a store. Frequently, unusual or different size clothes can be found in the sales racks. The more common sizes always sell at a regular rate of sales, but not the uncommon sizes so they go on sale just to get rid of them. These are the times when being an uncommon size can work to your advantage.

There’s much more to think about than most realize if you need big and tall men’s clothes.

From how you shop to what you shop for, you have more options than ever before. Think about it, in the past there were never so many options that you enjoy, today. Why not take advantage of that selection and have fun while you are shopping?
